Sensory & Play Therapy Space + Quiet Room, York

Consultations highlighted accessibility and confidentiality challenges with the current play therapy space due to its separation from the main building. Planned architectural changes will connect the buildings, creating a more accessible and private solution. The vision is to develop a flexible, multi-purpose sensory and therapy room, alongside a dedicated quiet room for those seeking a low-stimulation space. To enhance calmness, the sensory room will feature an under-the-sea theme, chosen for its soothing qualities. With adaptable projections, the space will be versatile, promoting relaxation, creativity, and engagement for all users.
